Rose hip / pine needle tea

The wild rose bushes are starting to produce good rose hips.  Time for rose hip / pine needle tea.

'Recovery Cafe' 2016

Rose-hip-tea (by itself) tastes a lot like hot fruit punch.  Not bad in the mountains, but it doesn’t taste like tea.  Pine-needle tea (by itself) tastes a might-on-the-rough-side, but if you've been in the mountains for a few weeks you need some vitamin C and pine-needle tea does the job.  While you’re drinking it, you can want something to add to it to make it taste good like lemon, lime or sugar.  Adding rose hips solves the problem.
I’ve been making pine-needle tea and rose-hip tea for many decades without coming up with the idea of combining them in one drink.  Rose-hip / pine-needle tea actually has a taste something like tea.
